Catsurveys have been accredited Living Wage Employers for the past 2 years, and are extremely proud to be a part of the Living Wage Foundation; an ethical organisation which calculates the basic cost of living in the UK annually. 2016 is a special year for the Living Wage Foundation as it’s their 5th Anniversary of the Living Wage Foundation, 10th Anniversary of the London Living Wage rate and 15th Anniversary of the Living Wage Campaign, with over 2,600 employers within its network celebrating its huge achievement. Big company names will be taking part in ‘Living Wage Week’ throughout the week of 30th October – 5th November 2016, making this year it’s biggest and best yet!
With the Government’s new mandatory inclusion of the new National Living Wage (NLW-not to be confused with Living Wage foundation) introduced back In April for workers aged 25 and above, now is a really important time to raise awareness of the independent ‘Living Wage’, on how they continue to improve the lives of thousands, which is both ethical and good for society.
Catsurveys strives to be the ‘employer of choice’ within our industry, and we endeavour to provide the best possible environment for our team, therefore we chose to voluntarily pay our employees above the ‘London Living Wage’, even at entry level despite being based outside of the London catchment area. We have also implemented flexible working hours, extra holidays rewarded for time spent in employment and an opportunity to purchase additional annual leave among many other benefits. With these practices in place, Catsurveys gets rewarded with higher productivity, which in turn raises morale.
We believe that our employees are our most important assets, and they deserve to be rewarded with descent pay, giving them a better standard of living and self-worth, by doing just that we are able to attract the best calibre of staff who recognise our investment in their future.
