Most Inspiring Mental Well-being Initiative
We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted in the ‘Most Inspiring Mental Well-being Initiative’ category at The Inspire Awards 2019!
This is a fantastic achievement for Catsurveys; being recognised for our dedication to the mental health and well-being of our team is extremely important to us.
Employee well-being is part of our DNA
Mental health can still be considered a taboo subject in the workplace, but at Catsurveys we have broken this taboo with our open and caring culture.
We have made a commitment to look after both the mental and physical health and wellbeing of our employees. We offer the same level of support for mental and physical health, as we strongly believe that they are intrinsically linked and cannot co-exist without each other.
As a responsible employer, we also recognise the importance of being proactive and preventing the occurrence of issues in the first instance as opposed to resolving them once they have occurred. We do this by actively paying attention to employee concerns and putting remedial measures in place wherever possible.
“I have personally had mental health issues well before I started working at Catsurveys, but they are the first employer I’ve had that have been fully supportive, understanding and flexible. I needed some time out of work to attend counselling and CBT sessions for my OCD, depression and anxiety, and Catsurveys have been more than happy for me to take time out to attend these appointments.
I feel fully accepted at Catsurveys, without fear of being judged by my peers. Knowing that you are going into a safe environment to work every day is truly priceless.”Employee testimonial
Employee well-being is truly at the heart and soul of everything that we do and is part of our organisational DNA. We respect the individualities of our employees and understand the intricacies of what ‘well-being’ can mean to each employee.
Diversity and Inclusion in UK Construction, Engineering and Housing
The purpose of The Inspire Awards is to help inspire a more diverse and inclusive culture in the industry by celebrating those who are leading the way. There are a range of categories including ‘Most Inspiring Awareness Campaign’ and ‘Most Inspiring Employer’.
The Inspire Awards will be presented at a gala dinner and awards ceremony on 5 June 2019 at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester. The awards evening is held conjunction with the one-day conference ‘The Inspire Summit’ at the same venue.
Returning for its third year, this conference offers a wealth of knowledge, with seminars taking place throughout the day from industry leaders. Topics include diversity, inclusion and innovative ideas on how we can inspire a new generation – irrespective of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability – to embrace a career in the construction industry.
We are making a difference!
Congratulations to everyone who has made the shortlist for the Inspire Awards 2019. We are looking forward to joining you all at the awards ceremony in June. Wish us luck!
